Camila was born in São Paulo, Brazil, where she earned her bachelor's degree in Graphic Design. She started her graphic design career at Vogue Brazil, before she relocated to New York. Camila has vast experience in the fashion and luxury environment, where she has worked for Ann Taylor LOFT (as Senior Digital Design Director), Brooks Brothers (as Senior Art Director for Interactive Services), Bluefly (as Creative Director), and for Viyet (as VP of Creative).

Camila has eighteen years of experience in graphic design; among her strengths is the ability of elevating the brands she has worked for. A good listener by nature, Camila values fostering cross-partner collaborations and has developed a close relationship with the leadership of all companies she has worked for. Throughout her tenure at different companies, Camila has effectively delivered on a variety of improvements: from a pure metrics measurement to an overall elevated aesthetic; brand perception; team building and talent development. Camila's creative vision has a strong focus on user engagement, and some of her email campaigns for Ann Taylor LOFT had historical record metrics.

Camila has contributed as a freelancer to a variety of companies, including Macy's, J.Crew, Limited Brands, L'Oréal, Tommy Hilfiger, and Michael Kors. She has also written about her New York experience and interviewed fashion figures, such as Oscar de la Renta, Carolina Herrera, and Gisele Bündchen, among others for Vogue Brazil.

Camila currently holds the position of Creative Director at Sotheby’s Home, which is Sotheby’s marketplace for furniture, art and accessories. Camila is responsible for all Sotheby’s Home creative output, production, copy, as well as content development for the email marketing campaigns.

Camila is one of the most talented, hardworking, and considerate people I have ever had the privilege of working with. Over the course of her 4 years at Viyet (now Sotheby’s Home), she has not only created a visually stunning brand across all touch points, but also built a powerhouse email marketing program virtually from scratch as well as best-in-class user experience across our entire website. Camila consistently over delivers, taking a small kernel of an idea and bringing it to reality in a way that is 10x better than you ever thought possible. In addition to being a design genius, she has an impressive grasp of analytics and metrics, managing every project with the perspective of both a user and a business owner. Beyond all her many professional merits, Camila is most importantly a genuinely kind, wonderful person and a constant source of support and inspiration to all who have the good fortune of working beside her.

Camila Hori is a natural leader with the ability to implement her creative vision from start to finish. She has a seemingly bottomless cache of ideas and could always be relied upon to have a winning solution to any conundrum. I reported directly to Camila for 3 years. She imbued a true sense of teamwork. Throughout the many diverse projects we faced as a department she kept the atmosphere fun and efficient. All the while maintaining her signature creative flair and logical execution. In Camila I had a strong leader, a teacher, and an advocate. Any company would be lucky to have her.
